Clayton Patterson has been the unofficial archivist for everything taking place in the Lower East Side for much of the last thirty years. The Front Door book presents selections from his enormous archive of photographs taken of his neighbors on Essex Street during the 80s and 90s, along with essays, interviews and stories about a neighborhood that has largely disappeared over the past ten years. Designed with Nicolas Atkins for O.H.W.O.W..
